This leads Candy to a Christmas murder. + Candy Matson runs into a deal where she has a missing Santa Claus helper, Jack Frost. The Jack with the icicles was supposed to talk to the tiny tots at the Brownstone one of San Francisco’s larger and classier department stores. She’d gone down there that afternoon shopping and bumped into an old friend Myra Fisher who was currently working at the store. It was the time of year when the store couldn’t manage without a “Jack Frost” and Myra appealed to Candy to find her a replacement Jack Frost as the agencies were all hired out
